Born in Morocco, raised in Chicago, shaped by passion and purpose, I came into UX design from a jumble of different backgrounds.

As a child, I drew obsessively and wanted to be an artist. As a young teen and college student, the stereotype of the “starving artist” made me drift away from my original aspiration, so I dived into Psychology.

After years of unfulfilling content writing jobs, I stumbled upon UX design, and a light bulb switched in me. I could not only combine my love for art and my interest in human behavior, but I could use them to make an impact in the world, particularly in industries that aim to empower users from disadvantaged communities, support mental health, and expand opportunities for women from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, which is something I witnessed growing up in Chicago and back in my home country.

That’s why I’m here: To design ethical and fulfilling solutions that make a difference.
